INTERVIEW WITH THE FANS - Simon Atkinson And Jonathan Grieve

1. Are you happy with that
2.With Ba's scoring record
do you feel by the end of
the season he will be
ready for the no.9 shirt?
3. How does it feel to be 3rd
in the league?

1) Delighted with the
result; well beyond wildest
dreams. It was quite
simply a disciplined,
committed and complete
performance. I was
surprised at Stoke to be
honest. It was hardly a full
on wall to wall one way
traffic effort from them
and they were flat. We
took full control. As for us.
10 games 22 points is a
magnificent achievement.
2) We need to wait and
see how he copes with the
rest of the season. The
question to ask I think is
does he want it? Does he
want the extra
responsibility that goes
with. If the answer to
these is yes and he
continues to score at this
rate then yes he would be
a great number 9.
3) This is the happiest and
most content as a Toon
fan that i've been for a
long long time. We look
like such a great team
right now and a proper
football club. We got
some of that with Chris
Hughton and with Pardew
I feel we've got a little
respect back and people
are taking due notice of
us. After everything we've
been through in recent
years kudos to Pardew
and the team. Onwards!

1. I am ecstatic to see
Newcastle defy the odds
and go and take Stoke to
the cleaners - Stoke have
a home record which is in
its own right formidable,
so to go to the britannia
and produce a
performance which was
generally of ease was one
of Toon's best away wins
for a very long time
2. Ba is scoring with little
pressure applied to him at
the moment - its early
days to suggest that he is
in line for the legendary
no.9 shirt but its very
important that he
maintains this standard for
the rest of the season and
who knows...7 goals so far,
including two match this moment in
time we have a very
special player that could
write himself into
newcastle folklore
3. 3rd is not what I had in
mind at all - what pardew
and the players need to
do is prove this level of
performance as much as
possible every game and
play to their very potential
- its clear the quality is
there and whatever team
we come up against home
or away we can beat
anyone when it all comes
together - we've set the
foundations so far...we just
need to maintain that
standard for as long as we
